A birth chart reveals potential, but it is the transit of planets through the zodiac and the unfolding of Dasha periods that activate that potential into lived experience. Course Modules
Six modules take you from transit fundamentals to advanced multi-layered timing analysis.
Module 1 — Gochara: Foundations of Transit Analysis
Learn how the current positions of planets relative to your natal Moon sign trigger life events. This module covers Vedha (obstruction) points, the special transit rules for Saturn, Jupiter and Rahu-Ketu, and how to track daily Gochara using an ephemeris and software tools.
Module 2 — Vimshottari Dasha: The 120-Year Planetary Cycle
The Vimshottari Dasha system is the most widely used timing tool in Jyotish. You will learn how to calculate Mahadasha, Antardasha and Pratyantardasha periods from the natal Moon's Nakshatra position, and how to assess which themes each planetary period will activate based on house lordship and placement.
Module 3 — Dasha-Bhukti Interaction & Event Mapping
Predicting events requires layering Dasha lords with sub-period lords. This module teaches you to evaluate the combined significations of Mahadasha and Antardasha rulers, identify periods of harmony or conflict, and correlate them with known life events through retrospective chart analysis exercises.
Module 4 — Ashtakavarga: Quantitative Transit Scoring
Ashtakavarga assigns numerical scores to each sign for every planet, providing an objective measure of transit strength. You will learn to construct Bhinnashtakavarga and Sarvashtakavarga tables, interpret high and low scoring signs, and use these scores to fine-tune transit predictions beyond what Gochara alone can reveal.
Module 5 — Saturn, Rahu-Ketu & Eclipse Cycles
The slow-moving planets carry the weightiest karmic implications. Study Sade Sati (Saturn's seven-and-a-half-year transit over the Moon), the eighteen-month Rahu-Ketu axis shifts, and the impact of solar and lunar eclipses on natal charts. Real-world case studies illustrate how these transits correlate with major turning points.
Module 6 — Integrative Timing: Layering Dasha, Transit & Ashtakavarga
In the capstone module you synthesise all three timing systems into a unified prediction framework. Working through detailed case studies — including career transitions, marriage timing and health events — you will practise delivering time-specific forecasts with confidence and ethical responsibility.
