Advanced Programme
Mundane Astrology
Mundane astrology — Medini Jyotish in the classical tradition — extends the lens of Vedic astrology from the individual to the collective. Nations, economies, weather patterns and geopolitical shifts all leave signatures in the celestial map. This eight-week advanced programme teaches you to read those signatures, drawing on techniques refined over millennia by Varahamihira, Prithuyashas and other luminaries of the Jyotish tradition.

Course Modules
Six modules take you from classical foundations to real-world geopolitical and economic forecasting.
Module 1 — Foundations of Medini Jyotish
Survey the classical literature on mundane astrology from Brihat Samhita to modern compilations. You will learn the key differences between natal and mundane chart interpretation, the concept of national horoscopes, and how the twelve houses are reassigned to represent government, treasury, neighbours, agriculture, defence and other collective affairs.
Module 2 — Ingress Charts & Lunation Cycles
Study the solar ingress into Aries (the Vedic New Year chart) and its role as the master mundane chart for the year ahead. You will also examine New Moon and Full Moon charts, eclipse charts, and how layering these cyclical charts creates a timeline of collective themes that can be tracked month by month throughout the year.
Module 3 — Jupiter-Saturn Cycles & Civilisational Shifts
The roughly twenty-year conjunction cycle of Jupiter and Saturn has been used for centuries to forecast shifts in political power, religious movements and technological revolutions. This module analyses historical conjunctions — from the rise of empires to the digital age — and teaches you to interpret the sign, Nakshatra and house placement of upcoming conjunctions.
Module 4 — Economic Astrology & Market Cycles
Explore how planetary transits correlate with economic booms, recessions and commodity price swings. You will study the roles of Jupiter (expansion), Saturn (contraction), Rahu (speculation) and Ketu (sudden losses), learn to read a nation's second and eleventh house transits, and examine case studies linking major market events to specific astrological signatures.
Module 5 — Natural Phenomena: Weather, Seismology & Pandemics
Varahamihira devoted entire chapters to predicting rainfall, earthquakes and epidemics through planetary patterns. This module revisits those classical techniques with modern data, teaching you to assess eclipse paths, Mars-Saturn contacts and Rahu-Ketu axis transits as potential indicators of natural disasters, extreme weather events and public health crises.
Module 6 — Geopolitical Forecasting & Capstone Project
Apply everything you have learned to a live geopolitical scenario. Working with the national charts of major nations, current ingress and eclipse data, and Dasha periods of country horoscopes, you will produce a detailed forecast covering political, economic and social trends for the year ahead — the kind of analysis valued by think tanks, journalists and policy advisors.

Student Testimonial
As a financial analyst with a long-standing interest in Jyotish, the Mundane Astrology course was exactly what I needed. The economic cycles module was rigorous and data-driven, and the capstone project pushed me to synthesise techniques I had never combined before. I now incorporate mundane insights into my quarterly market outlook reports.
